Today i’m sharing how to make natural mosquito candles with essential oils- these are so cool! Did I mention they have wood wicks?
You may have seen me share my previous DIY candle making video, and that tutorial features 100% cotton wicks, so if you want to see that version i’ve got it too. 😉
But now for the nitty gritty!
Basically there are 4 steps for how to make these candles.
- Melt ingredients & mix. (Essential Oils Last After it’s cooled a bit)
- Pour into containers.
- Assemble and place wood wicks.
- Allow to cool and decorate if desired.
See the full process in my full ‘How To’ tutorial!
Ingredients:
1 lb Beeswax – I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this beeswax from Vitacost! It’s in small beads so if melts super quick and easy!
1oz Citronella Essential Oil
1 Cup Coconut Oil
Wood Wicks (2 per candle)
Calendula Flowers – Not essential but I love to decorate the tops of my candles!
Have you ever tried making your own candles? What are your favorite scents?
Leave me a comment on the video and let us know!
