Today i’m sharing 3 beginner Instant Pot recipes! If this is your first time trying an Instant Pot, make sure and watch my Instant Pot 101 video for all my the beginners tips!
And for all those curious, this is the Instant Pot that I have- I think it’s the perfect size. I bought mine off Amazon and it included the recipe book, trivet, everything you need!
First off for our 3 beginner Instant Pot recipes, let’s do some super quick, fluffy potatoes. This is my recipe for baked potato style potatoes, you know, the kind with all the fixings??? So good. Keep in mind with these, there is a bit of a range in timing, based on the size of your potatoes. When in doubt, i’d say choose somewhere in the middle!
Instant Pot Baked Potato Recipe:
- Wash potatoes & stab with fork.
- Place on trivet in Instant Pot & add 1 Cup Water.
- Close lid, set valve to ‘sealing’.
- ‘Pressure Cook’ for 12-20 Minutes. (Small- Medium 12 minutes, Large 20 minutes)
- Natural Release for 10 Minutes. (If you want mashed potatoes do a full natural release)
- Press cancel, Carefully turn your steam valve to ‘venting’* Do not stand over steam valve*
- Once steam clears and float valve has dropped, open up the pot, and they’re ready to go!
Easy Peel Instant Pot Boiled Eggs
- Add 1 Cup of water, trivet, and 24 eggs (or less) into the Instant Pot.
- Close lid, set valve to ‘sealing’.
- ‘Pressure Cook’ for 5-7 minutes. (Based on your desired yolk color)
- Prepare an ice bath for the eggs in a medium sized bowl.
- After timer goes off, hit cancel, and quick release steam by carefully turning the steam valve to ‘venting’. *Do not stand over steam valve*.
- Once steam clears and float valve has dropped, open up the pot, and place eggs in ice bath.
- Allow eggs to cool, and they’re ready to peel and eat!
Store eggs in refrigerator for 4-5 days.
Frozen Chicken Breast Instant Pot Recipe
- Add 1 Cup of water and frozen chicken breasts into the Instant Pot.
- Season to taste. I like to add salt, pepper, garlic, parsley, etc! I love Simply Organic for spices.
- Close lid, set valve to ‘sealing’.
- ‘Pressure Cook’ for 10-12 minutes based on the chicken breast size.
- Natural Release for 10 Minutes.
- Press cancel, Carefully turn your steam valve to ‘venting’ * Do not stand over steam valve*
- Once steam clears and float valve has dropped, open up the pot, top with fresh herbs.
- Allow to sit for a couple minutes, cut, and serve!
