DIY Disinfectant Spray Cleaner

Today I wanted to share a printable / pinable version of my DIY Disinfectant Spray Cleaner. This recipe comes straight from the CDC guidelines for how to disinfect your home from the COVID-19 virus, and so it’s what I’ve been using on areas of high concern in our home. More specifically after my little guy came down with a fever.

You can print, screenshot, or pin it on Pinterest for later! Please share the recipe with friends and family on Pinterest & Facebook to help keep everyone safe during this time of high concern.

A couple things to note about this recipe. Yes it will kill the virus, but it needs to be left on for at least 5 minutes to properly disinfect. The surface needs to be cleaned prior to spraying with the disinfectant. I would also recommend wearing gloves and a mask when using cleaners with bleach. Stay safe and keep healthy- Sending my love!

Hi! Please put a note for your readers that this needs to be mixed fresh daily. It’s only good for a max of 24 hours because as soon as bleach mixes with water, it begins to degrade. Maybe you could also include that splash-less and scented bleach don’t disinfect because they don’t have the required percentage of bleach. They are for laundry only and that’s why there aren’t disinfecting instructions on the bottle.
